Marc Singer never made a movie in his life or even touched a camera for that matter. When he graduated from high school, the young brit moved from London to New York City and ended up living in Manhattan's underground tunnels. After a couple of months of living there and making a bunch of homeless friends, they decided to make a documentary about their lives. What's amazing about this is that the entire crew were the homeless people living in the tunnels and Marc got basically all of the equipment through donations. The music featured in the documentary is by DJ Shadow, who accepted to lend his music to the film after viewing it. The film, shot in the 90's and released in 2000, showcases the harsh reality of poverty, homelessness and displays the subjects on an extremely humane level. We'll try to post more full length documentaries that we deem interesting, because it's seeing real shit like this that makes you get a better understanding of life.
