Nike are unveiling a bunch of stuff as they prepare for the 2012 London Olympics. I'm usually extremely skeptical when it comes to giant sports brands trying to sell us some new technology in their shoes are whatever. But this seems like a very ingenious and legitimate idea. The Nike+ Basketball shoe comes with some sort of sensor or chip that tracks your movements, your speed and your jumping ability, which sends that data to your smartphone. This seems like a great tool for young and serious athletes, wanting to see actual data on their athletic abilities. A great device for training.
